Anyone else doing the Virgin Active Triathlon, at Excel in London?

I'm doing Sprint distance. (750m ows, 20km ride, 5km run)

I have just done Matlock Triathlon in 1hr 7min, (400m pool swim, 20k ride, 5k run) so am hoping for around 1hr 15min.

This will only be my third event, really looking forward to it. Been practising open water swimming with a local tri club recently, and I've been training regularly for this since mid-may.

Almost ready!

I really wanted to but it clashed with the 24 hour race at silver stone my husband is no longer doing...grrr.

Still have a great time and let us know how you get on.

I'm doing the Milton Keynes open water swim that date but good luck, sounds like you've been training well for it.

They didn't text me the cycle time! Have to wait for the email.

Was a great day, everything went well. Came in under 1hr 30 and beat my friends who.also did it!

3 pints later, and i'm finished!

I found the water temp a tad colder Sat morning when my groin hit the water!

How did it go? Luckily we had clear skies and sunshine in London!

Good luck with the race today!

I'm all done as well mate mine was yesterday as truthfully would have considered the Virgin Triathlon, only a mile swim but 26 minutes so quite happy - going to train now and have entered this as next box to tick:
