He's sunk £1bil odd into a football club that is worth £500 according to Forbes http://www.forbes.com/soccer-valuations/ .....so you could say his vanity has cost him £500mil so far. Not sure he's that bothered!
Not sure if I'm misreading, but your link says we're worth nearly £900 million? So it's cost him about the same as Man U's summer spending so far smile
You are misreading...that's in $...so $868/1.65 = £526mil.

So it's cost Roman close to £500mil so far.

Rumours on twitter costa out 4-6 weeks, true or bulst ?
Bullst, playing tomorrow.

Torres has taken his banjo to Milan for two years, he'd heard that there's bigger cows over there.

So Torres has gone on a 2 year loan deal! That's him leaving for free. What a waste of fking money. 47 goals 172 apps that's £1.1 million per goal.

Actually feel a bit sorry for him, he's done as a top level striker.

Chelsea are better off without him, he brings nothing to your team.

Shame as he was red hot for us.

He's not actually gone yet. He still has to pass a medical and agree terms. No chickens being counted till the window closes and he's gone.

More like £2.2 M with his wages.

Remy ? Really ?

Unless Jose pulls a surprise out of the bag, this is going to leave you light up top.

In all fairness to Torres , he has an impressive haul of gongs at Chelsea & scored a few very important goals,

I think along with shevchenko this was an Abramovich signing.

The CL semi-final goal was worth the transfer fee alone.

Torres 5 best moments in a blue shirt

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-...

Glimmers of brilliance but even that great goal against barca came from his own mistake. I have had a lot of faith in him but I do feel we will be much better without him. Remy I don't get. Patrick Bramford could comfortably be our number 3.

The Costa injury/non injury has shown how light we are up front - if he was to spend 4mnths out I doubt DD good lead the line alone. We really need a decent backup, Falcao has just gone for 20m, that could have been us. Wonder FFP is stopping a move, or means we can only get someone cheap or on loan? But then Milan have shown you can pickup a good striker on loan. Yeah, Righto.

AFAIK we're still one short on the home grown front, so signing someone like Falcao doesn't help, unless we lose another foreigner. Like Cech, perhaps?

Anyway. There ain't a lot of time to do something in this window. Last minute signings nearly always come back and bite you in the arse.

I doubt we are paying any of his wages.

The loan deal is, essentially, just a free transfer ( in that he will become a free agent at the end of the deal anyway ). Rather than get, say , £10m for him and still pay to the end of his contract ( which was mooted in the initial discussions ) , we have just waived that money and let AC pay his wages ( and that £10m will just cover what we might have paid).

Anyway - what a waste of money he was . £50m and £30m in wages with nothing back at all. Serves Roman right and I only hope he will let others decide who to buy in future.

We are now in a situation where we just have to get a replacement. I would rather we got someone on loan rather than pay over the odds in the last 2 days.

Still, won't forget that semi final goal against Barca, 'this could be the most dramatic story of the season, its Torres to give Chelsea a place in the Champions League final!'

We're in talks with Loic Remy, £8 million from QPR.
