Still, won't forget that semi final goal against Barca, 'this could be the most dramatic story of the season, its Torres to give Chelsea a place in the Champions League final!'
He could have run to the corner flag and Chelsea would have still been in the final. That was an icing on the cake goal

It wasn't the last kick of the game there were still a few mins left, and after what had happened a couple of years before when Barcelona scored deep into injury time, it was a bit more than an icing on the cake goal. It did matter.

Not good for the heart that game. Big credit to Everton for coming at us as they did.

How good is it to see we have a proper striker ? Costa has scored 4 goals in his first 3 games ( took Torres 39 games to reach that mark). Still a huge concern if he gets injured - Drogba looks well off the pace.

Love to see him when his fully fit yikeswink

Sooooo good to have a PROPER striker at last! 4 goals in 3 games. City losing today makes this win just a little bit more sweet.

I can see loads of goals saying " Costa scores after a pass by Fabregas " this season.

Chelsea certainly have the quality & depth in the squad to win any competition they wish.

I think they will win the league at a canter .

What a signing Fabregas is proving to be. Deep down Wenger is regretting not buying him back. Hopefully get a backup striker before the window closes.

Could have been even worse for Everton today, Howard was a very lucky man, should have been sent off for handball within the opening 10 mins.

We were singing that at the end.

I also enjoyed the 'Romelu Lukaku, Torres is better than you', although that might have been a touch rough on the lad.

Edited for shpelling.

Genuinely excited, I know I've been banging on about it for ages, but so good that we have a striker who is scoring goals.

Was very excited when he made the move, but there was still some doubt in my head over Costa. After watching Torres and Shevchenko before struggling, it would have been unbearable to see Costa struggle. So far, so fking good biggrin

Gents, looking for a bit of advice. My kids 11& 7 are mad Chelsea fans and I would like to take them to a game, thing in we live in Edinburgh so it has to be a Saturday game. What is the best way to get 4 tickets? Hospitality is to costly.
Thanks for any advise

Great game that today - Costa does everything you want a centre forward to do - make the runs, drag defenders out of position, put himself about, chase and close down and most importantly, score more chances than he misses ... great signing and he looks a mean mutha on the field as well ... cut out for the English game!

If he can stay injury free then you'll do very well this season - EVERY Chelsea player looks comfortable on the ball ... and you have a decent keeper (or two)
