November used to be the bogey month, but we got through that OK. The past few weeks however........

It's not helping that Fabregas, Costa and Willian all seem to be suffering a dip in form at the same time. And don't get me started on Ramires. I have no idea why he gets a game, because he has been unremittingly awful of late. We'll have to play a bit better than we have been recently to get past PSG. I read in the paper this morning that Matic twisted his ankle during the Cup winning celebrations. I hope he's fit for next Wednesday.
I only saw MOTD last night but it looked to me like Ramires played well.

I think Jose had managed to get Ramires to calm down a bit, he spent most of his career with us running round like an angry little dog that had had some deep heat rubbed onto his bell end.

He was great, as was Teebo. Made some important saves.

Yeah I thought he had a good game too. Got the assist for Hazards goal. Could have had a goal himself.

Yes Ramires was a liability before and still has some moments where he loses possession stupidly. However, he was much better than Fabregas last night. Much more creative and with much more energy. I think other teams have worked out that if you crowd Fabregas out, the creativity has stopped.

They definitely need to improve before the PSG game or else they'll get torn apart. Defence seems ok, but it's holding the ball in MF that seems to be the issue. It's not helping that Costa seems to have lost some confidence and has turned into a sulk rather than injecting a bit of energy into things. Maybe Remy is a better bet for a while?

Seems to be the cup we just can't help winning.

2nd leg at the Bridge should be interesting.

Dont think he ever got the chance with you - would have no doubt made it in the prem at Spurs or Liverpool and we would have all he is a good player. Was always going to be hard for him at yours with Hazard and Oscar ahead of him.

Mohamed Salah since moving to Fiorentina (all comps):

433 minutes played
6 goals
1 assist
72 minutes per goal ratio

Probably actually better than the lad you took from Fiorentina

I was there. Paid on the door, a fiver, just like the old days of 1st team football.
Lost 2-0, will be difficult to claw it back from here.

I got in to youth football when my kids were younger. It was a great way of taking them to the Bridge, used to be £3 for me and a quid for them so £5 for the 3 of us!!! Then my son got the gig covering the u/21 Premier League for Shoot magazine. He was 17 and hadn't passed his test so I was ferrying him around. It got serious then and I got addicted. Although he's moved on to other things (still football journalism) we both still try and follow the Chelsea u/18s and u/21s when he's free.

That's not a red card for me. Both went for the ball one got it one didn't. Yellow yes but not red. It was never dangerous and he looked to be pulling out.

No live coverage or highlights on BBC or ITV frown

Seems like we've just been given a big advantage with Ibrahimovc off

If that's a red then Ashley Barnes should get the death penalty. Yellow, at the most. Not complaining though!!
