The two greatest achievements by any British Club in the last twenty years are Man U winning the Treble in '99 and Arsenal going unbeaten in the Premier League. Those are the kind of things that fans of other clubs genuinely respect.
You know of course that Chelsea suffered less defeats (4) last season than the Arsenal "invincibles" did (6) in their great achievement season. (PS : Chelsea beat Arsenal too in their "invincible" season)
Sure but those defeats weren't in the Premier League and if you think about it it's not surprising when you are having an exceptional league season for that to become a focus for the players perhaps to the cost of performance in the Cups.

Regardless of what you say the fact is the only other team to have done it is Preston in the 1880's....even the most dominant team I have ever seen (Liverpool of the late 70's and early 80's didn't do it).

And whilst you may not think it's an exceptional achievement Mourinho does...to quote him from last October.

It's something that happened once in a lifetime,' Mourinho said.

'I don't see, in modern football with the competitiveness of this Premier League, one team being champion without a defeat.

'That will stay in the history as the second and the last time.

'(That is) my opinion, but we don't know.'

Bid for Everton's John Stones rejected

Who would have expected the Tinker Man to end up at Leicester either?

Why are we bidding for Stones having just sent Kalas out on loan to 'Boro? He's only played one full game, away at Anfield on the day Gerrard slipped, and I thought he was superb. Just don't get us sometimes.

Perhaps Stones is seen as a long term Terry replacement? Helps the home grown quota as well, but of course he is subject to the Young and English tax

I read about half of that and couldn't make any sense out of what is supposed to have happened or is happening. Could anyone who speaks Daily Mail translate for me?

I can't make any sense of it either, but reading other rags, I think the people who make the decisions at CFC would quite like to buy Stones, but not at any price. Martinez is bhing about it, but as he comes across as a bit of a bell end, do we care? As far as I can see, we're playing this one by the book.

I think a 30m bid will end up seeing him at your club - prob be 24/25m rising to 30m on winning prem, appearances and champs league.

What 'book?' This is football and there is no playing by any book, the game is corrupt from top to bottom and any notion of ethical standards went west a long time ago. By all means go after Stones and any other player you fancy, it is what it is all about these days, but don't kid yourself about doing things the right way, football forgot how to do that a long time ago. The tragedy is that Sky now seem to be taking Rugby the same way, anyone for Hockey?

Looking very comfortable at half time in the women's FA Cup Final. 1-0 up and should be 2 or 3. Let's hope 2nd half goes as well.

Yes good result yesterday and could've been a lot more goals.

Today will be a interesting test. Will Cech be the difference?

Very poor game. Only one moment of quality and unfortunately it came from one of their players.
