Not very PH I know but just picked up one of these as a family wagon.

Very impressed apart from it needed a new gearbox after 250 miles smile

Looks smart enough.

What was up with the gearbox? Manual or Auto? smile

Bit of a story behind the auto box replacement. I took the car in complaining of a whining noise and the technician tracked It down to the gearbox which he thought was out of tolerance. Picked the car back up at the weekend but the noise was still there, turns out we were listening for different noises and the issue I was highlighting was due to the rock solid Pirelli P Zeros smile

I was out of the country when he car went in so could not complete the diagnosis with the technician

Looks good to me (which engine?)

I was pleased to wear out the PZero's and replace them with better tyres.

That looks great, I think the new A6 looks considerably better than the old one especially from the front.

What engine do you have? Any interior photos? smile

It's only a 2.0TDi but good enough for the family bus, I almost went for the 3.0TDi but a drive in this convinced me it was not worth another £6k...now the BiTurbo...mmmmm

The A6 is the only Audi that has held my interest of late; the rest of their range now look too samey for me, some of which does extend to the A6 but I think the proportions look just right. Didn't like the new 5 series to start with however it's grown on me; someone in the office next door has a beautiful M5 and it just sits there, looking awesome.

I chose this over 5 series as I preferred the exterior and interior styling. I think the interior is a real step up, it has some flair over the older C6 and the quality is not far off the A8.

That all depends on the spec. IMO its easy to make them look cheap, but correct spec does indeed loog good.

Nice, was just looking an a black S-Line saloon at Tesco. Pictures are very sharp too.

G33, what does yours look like inside? Yours is a pre-facelift like ours, grey plastic with satin chrome?

The later ones had very bright silver and very black plastics which I think looked a bit crap. C7s is cracking.
