Can anybody recommend any tyre retailers/fitters around the Orpington area?
Obviously there are the usual suspects nearby (Kwik-Fit/National) but wondered if anybody had any experience of these or others.
Thanks.

I've always found my local guy to be good and competitive. Will come to you and fit at his unit or at your workplace / home. Paul Stapley, Longfield, Just by Brands Hatch so only 10 mins or so from Orpington.

Not in Orpington, but we've had work done on our cars (including tyre fitting) at PTA in Lethworth Drive, Bromley

Dartford Tyres 2000 Bexleyheath, on the Crayford road. http://www.dartfordtyres2000ltd.co.uk/They will treat your alloys with care, clean the hubs with a bit of ememry, copper slip all the bits and bobs and get you a good price for tyres. I have used them for years and never been dissapointed with price or the service I received. HTH Roops

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
I ended up going to Kwik Fit in Orpington High Street - I daren't go anywhere further afield as my tyre was very deflated.
When K-F got the wheel off the culprit was obvious - a nail but too close to the edge to be repaired. But what was potentially worse was the 4 inch split in the inner edge of the tyre which was probably caused by me driving on a deflated tyre!!
I can't say that I got anything but fast, efficient service from K-F. The cost was ludicrous (£140 for a 195!!!) but I didn't have a lot of choice. With hindsight I'd had bought the tyre on the net and took it somewhere to fit. Next time.......

I now see i'm a little late to the thread but i always use these guys even though they rightly gave me a b king for running on extremely worn inner edges (metal chord wearing and lumps of rubber coming off). They fitted my Camskill bought replacements for £16 per tyre after checking they couldn't price match the cost plus the £16, and seem like decent guys.

A lot of us use Event-Tyres. They come to you at home or office. Cheaper than virtually everywhere else and very convenient. These guys fit tyres on Porsches and Ferraris so they have to do a decent job. Just had four new Michelins fitted to the wifes car and my neighbour had them put two new front tyres on his Lexus.
