That manifold looks great. What is the "dragons tooth" bit for?

Are you going to construct an airbox or heatshield for the cone filter?

Interesting... biggrin

The reckless part of me wants to do this to my gti-6 tongue out - how much power are you aiming for?

Mastadon: the drogons tooth is to create a better pulse flow into the turbo, a big must in exhaust manifold design often missed by "custom" exhaust companys and can also help the turbo to keep lag to a minimum. Also there will be a air box with the engine side of the box coated with gold heat protection called DEI it will also have a bonnet vent to supply the filter.

Sodslaw: i am aiming to see how much power i can run at 15psi, around the 330 mark i would imagine but as close to 350 as i can get it, the engine is fully forged and rebored running acl bearings etc.

Chungtington: The turbo i`m gonna run is a 2871 with upgraded bearing cages and heat sheild, should be capable of 420 hp according to Matt @ owen dev. The manifold is equal length running 38 mm primaries.

There are alot more pics to come but i got bored of uploading them yesterday so i will do some more tonight.

Very interesting. I love the idea of an heatshielded airbox with a bonnet vent to feed it, no doubt very effective and it will look ace too.

Please sign up to 306oc.co.uk and post this project - there's a lot of people who'd be very interested to read it!

Build is going well. Will the GTi6 engine take well to boost? It's quite a high-compression engine...

Nice build! That mount will make it feel like your driving a rampant rabit haha

I had solid mounts on my old 106 but took them off in the end and went to a power flex lower

Kept making the CDs skip haha..... I was using it as a daily car atthe time!!

Happy days lol
