Best shape 911 what gets your vote?

The best 911 shape is the original and the 993 ain't that.

Each to their own but 993 is my least favourite. I stayed at a hotel near Trowbridge a couple of weeks ago and there was a green early 70's 911 which reminded me how beautiful 911's can be, even my wife was impressed (although not impressed enough to let me buy one). 2.4 litres I think.

2.7 RS / 2.8 RSR.
3.2 Carrera looked nice with Fuchs but without the spoilers, 964 also pretty, but 993 lost the 'classic' front wings.
Since then, the 997 GT3 has that 'built for purpose' beauty.

Early, then 964, then impact bumper and finally the 993. Not fussed about 997 and the 996 is the work of the devil in my book.

Most pre IB cars get my vote, they all look gorgeous to me esp. In a period colour.
Followed by a nice 993 RS, clubbie or otherwise.
After that, a 930, 964 3.6 and a 993tt hit the spot.
The modern cars ? Only a 997 GT2 in the right colours and an RS 3.8 are fully convincing to my eyes. 996 C4S is also strangely beautiful but all of these are fairly distant from the above.

i hated the 997 shape when it was launched, but after 5 odd years I love it and would say it is one of me favs. 964 and 993 4s
