Nope, what I was doing was confusing a thread about actors and their uncredited appearances, cameo roles or early career breaks with one called "Actors and their best known films".

ETA: Bob Hoskins was in Who Framed Harold Shand?

I love this fact. Jean Claude van Damme in Breakdance as an extra (in the black leotard)

His first role was in No Retreat No Surrender.

The very last scene of Superman 3, with Richard Prior being dropped off at the coal mine. One of the miners is Larry Lamb, of Eastenders and Gavin and Stacey fame.

(Yet Another) Band of Brothers one:

A very skinny Tom Hardy (Bronson, Dark Knight Rises) plays Private Janovic.

Colin Hanks (son of Tom), Jimmy Fallon (Saturday night live) and Dominic Cooper are also in it.

There's blydi hundreds. be quicker to list people who weren't in it.

Tim Booth, lead singer of James, plays Victor Zsasz in Batman Begins. Blink and you'll miss him being taken out of his cell when Arkham Asylum is evacuated.

Legolas is in black hawk down. Sorry, I can't remember the actors name.

He falls out of a helicopter in the initial snatch of the suspects near the beggining of the film.
Most of the Trainspotting cast are in it as well. In fact, there's loads of non-American actors in key roles.
Also Matthew something or other (Marsden?) off Coronation Street is the soldier who gets told he can't fight wth a cast on his arm so cuts it off with a knife.
He was in the newest rambo too

Walter Matthau's cameo in 'Earthquake'. It was credited to Walter Matuschanskayasky, a name Matthau made up and led people to believe it was his real name.
