Hi
2012 was my first year at Le Mans I noticed that on the Thursday/Friday the grandstands were nearly empty, are they free for anyone to use on those practice days ?

If I buy a grandstand ticket to watch the race, can I use the stand for the practice sessions ?

The grandstands are all free to use on the wednesday and thursday practice sessions, you only need a ge ticket to get into the circuit, Friday nothing actually happens so grandstands are empty.

The Granstand ticket is only valid for the race apparently, as I found out last year to my chagrin. Packed grandstand on the thursday night and I'm trying to get to my seat, only to be met with French resistance advising me that, other than the actual race day, it's a free for all! Note to self... get there early for free practice and qually next year.

The ACO stand (Tribune 18) remains ticket only throughout the whole weekend. Including qualifying.
