The K1S looks ideal. And Under £100 quid now!

The only issue i'd have is the amount of cable runs and bulky screen unit.

Yes, I'm very keen on the K1S, but as you say, the amount of cables will require some thinking to hide nicely.

I think the main control box part should fit in my unused sunglasses holder up by the RVM. Either that or down inside the centre arm rest.

Got myself an 0801 and really impressed with it. One minor issue is i'm getting some reflection of my dashboard, any tips to reduce this?

Try pointing it downwards a bit. Will still pick up plenty up ahead but should help with reflections and sun coronas. No need for so much sky, hopefully no planes landing on you!

Where are you seeing it under £100? Cheapest I can find from the techmoan site is $245 and there would be shipping and duty to add to that.

The SpyTec ones are now 'out of stock with no eta'. I've had my order refunded.

It worked out about £156 if you bought it direct from their website inc'l usps 1st class delivery. I can't find any other sellers at all other than "RoadCam Inc" who don't ship to the UK from their Amazon site.

I've just initiated a return for the 0805, the quality isn't a patch on the 0803. Both are E-PRANCE units from them on Amazon so not dodgy versions.

Here are some stills for comparison from this morning's drive and yesterday's drive.

0803:

0805:

The 0803 is far, far sharper and crisper. It's even more obvious on video playback as well! At least I won't have any issue getting a refund through Amazon.

Do you have the 0805 set to its maximum resolution because I notice that both of these images are 1920 x 1080, I have an 0806 and was complaining about the same issue compared to my older 0801 until one of the more knowledgeable tech guys suggested that the 0806 was downsampling to 1920 (I think that is the correct term) and recommended increasing the resolution to maximum (2560 x 1080) and super fine, when I did this the image quality was much better.

I tried the full 1296p on both as well and it was still terrible. The HDR only works on the 0805 at 1080, not 1296 which made it even worse. Basically it's st compared to the 0803 so to anyone about to buy one, get the 0803!!

I answered this a few posts up.

When it's blue/red it's charging the (small) internal battery. Once it's charged, the red bit stops and it only flashes blue.

Techmoan demo didn't find this. Yours must be a duff unit, so not good advice to say don't buy.

Got 0801's in my car. Work perfect.

The Mrs QQ has an 0803 that I've just wired in, exactly same way using an add a circuit. Weird thing is, when she starts the car, sometimes and seemingly randomly, the thing goes completely potty and just beeps at her. It continues to beep and won't stop.

If she disconnects the power it goes nuts still until it finally runs out of battery. Switching it off with the power switch does nothing either!

Any ideas??
Have you tried upgrading your wife for a new model?
