Sorry I've never seen an A lens to compare...I have a C lens and C2 lens Mobius...I use them both in the narrow field of view setting which reduces the fish-eye effect which is perfect for dashcam use.

To me the C2 lens looks a tiny little bit sharper especially at the edges than the C lens which itself is pretty damm good, as the C2 lens is the latest spec that's the one to go for.

Here's a couple of pics to compare...

C Lens mounted to the windscreen

C2 Lens stuck on the dash with Blu-tack for testing

That C2 lens looks brilliant for picture quality. Been trying to find some examples for the C2.

Was torn between a mini 0805 and the mobius but the unreliability reported by many puts me off, and that mobius looks great!

Are these best fixed with the adhesive mount rather than a suction mount for a discreet install? Is yours hardwired?

My two Mobius C lens cameras are fixed using a modified Mobius helmet mount, the mount is a two piece affair which splits apart very easily leaving one part stuck on the screen the other on the camera mount, it's very discrete and looks good.

I hardwired my cameras with small 3 Amp 12v to 5v transformers rather than using the 12v socket USB adapter type and installed a small switch so they can be left switched on when my car is parked up.

The cameras are fitted with capacitors which replaced the batteries for the best reliability, and so far the cameras have not missed a beat...very impressive little things.

Keep an eye on Banggood UK for the price of the Mobius, I recently bought the C2 version for £41 delivered using the discount code " NewUK " which gives you 8% off.

Hope this helps...

That's a great help. Thanks Klippie smile 41 is a great price too, currently around 51 direct from the manufacturer eBay. Will check out Banggood!

Can anyone help...there is a lot of noise when playing back my videos, like interference/crackling. Done it for a while and I have recently started using a different lead which hasn't helped.
If it's only started doing this since you changed the cable then you might need a better shielded cable, incidentally, what brand of dash cam are you using?
Mobius.
It did it with both cables. The first came with the camera, the second is from Joovuu. I originally had the short cable running straight down from the camera to the socket (not pretty!) so thought the movement of the cable was causing it, however having now run a longer cable and hidden it, it's still doing it.
Have you tried manually recording just using the battery in the Mobius without connecting the cable/adapter to the cigarette lighter, if it's still buzzing then you might have a faulty camera. How long have you owned it?
Yep, used it a few times for various activities as a normal camera and works perfectly. Had about 3 months now

Slightly O/T but does anyone have a contact number for Joovuu? Sent a couple of faulty B40 cameras back 2 months ago and they've fobbed me off with excuses ever since.

Now I'm looking into it further they don't appear to have the best reputation from some online review sites and the fact they don't have any telephone contact details is rather concerning (other than a mobile number which goes to a GiffGaff voicemail)

Like this thread, maybe worth posting a thread over on a specific forum as they seem active on there?

Anyone know of a dash camera that will do front and rear recording, including for a period after ignition removed, that can be powered off the cigarette lighter and suction mounted to a rear (well, middle of the car) screen? Hard wiring isn't really an option for me. Apologies if this has already been asked.

Thread swiftly removed I see. I warned about Joovuu about a year ago now but was shot down in flames by so-called experts who knew better..

It's not somewhere I frequent but just using a Whoisguard is hardly dodgy in itself, some people just prefer privacy.

For what it's worth, my K1S purchase was fine via Joovuu (I've said this before on here too).

I put the order in, knowing full well they were awaiting stock. Sent a message requesting a tracking number when they came in stock, which was provided the next day, and recently sent a message enquiring about a firmware update, again - answered within a day with a link to the updated firmware and instructions as to how to flash it.

Although I've only had one purchase interaction with them, for me personally - I'm 100% satisfied. On the DCT forum, the replies to that thread are all positive as well, other than the OPs.

I'm not saying they won't ever mess up, but pump and dump criticism like the thread on DCT just makes the poster look daft rather than have any negative impact on the vendor themselves.

ETA - after digging around on DCT, it looks like they've sacked their previous CSR and have taken steps to improve their service after acknowledging CS complaints: https://forum.dashcamtalk.com/threads/joovuu-com-m...

Received my Mobius C2 yesterday and gave it it's first outing today. Immediately noticed a major issue with my car's GPS unit (VW RNS-510). Whilst the Mobius was on and recording the GPS had 0 satellites locked so it had no idea where the car was. As soon as I switched the Mobius off, it found a lock and resumed as normal.

Anyone else with a Mobius having issues with interference and their car's GPS/Nav system? If so, how did you resolve? The Mobius seems the perfect dash cam, but if it means it renders my nav useless then it's not going to be a keeper.

Does the Mobius have GPS and could it perhaps be the positioning of the device?

I've been using a Mobius for several months now and use a Tom Tom sat nav and haven't experienced any problems with the GPS positioning.

Who did you end up buying yours from? Did you also purchase any of the accessories (holder/leads etc)?

Had the cameras not needed to be returned, I'd agree with you. Delivery was fine and although I had issues with both cameras, they were good with trying to pinpoint the problem via messaging on their ticketing system.

Where things fall apart is dealing with returns. They told me to return them, got an automated email to say they'd received them and then nothing. When I chased this up they claimed to have refunded to my card, which they hadn't (I'd paid by PayPal anyway) and since then they've ignored my messages. I would call them but the only number I could find was a PAYG mobile number on their PayPal account which is switched off anyway, hardly confidence inspiring!

I see they are having some issues but this really isn't acceptable and there are quite a few others in the same position. I bought from them as they are a UK based seller and I didn't want to buy from China. Im now going to get a couple of Mobius cameras and will buy from Amazon.
