Well, as I am a big fan of "Simply Red", and I know how many of you are admirers of lead singer Mick Hucknall.
, I thought you may be interested in this message the great man posted on his fan club website a couple of days ago......
Hello music lovers!Hope you're all having a wonderful summer.My girlfriend and I have just returned from a dream vacation for which YOU are partly responsible!! ..Huh? you may say..how can this be? you may ask..well,before HOME was released I daydreamed that if the Album was really successfull I would drive around the Italian mountains and hills in an old Ferrari Dino[the type Tony Curtis drove in the Persuaders!]?But I set myself the task of achieving this only if we managed to sell more than 3million copies.So..guess what?!! Guess who was whizzing around the Appenines this Summer? ;-) and guess who its partly thanks to?!! I say partly because I have in mind my fantastic Band members and a brilliant managerial team who also helped fulfill my dream..I want to thank you all SO very very much for your continual support and love of the music we make..the lives we lead are my inspiration to create and the trip certainly has inspired! ps.There will be photos and possibly some film to follow that WE made,not the soulless and unpleasant 'entertainment[i use that term loosely] media'...pps. I dont buy papers anyway!

You should see the little bugger in Cafe de Paris. On the occassions I have been forced into that excuse for a club he´s always got a few skanky looking wannabe models drinking his booze.
Good on him though. At least he know what to drive and where to drive it.
