So, the new door seals have arrived. Despite a couple on here suggesting it might be difficult, I'm going to have a crack at replacing them in the next couple of weeks. Rubber hammer is ready and waiting In other news, before I went to Spa last month I had the throttle pots and lambda sensors replaced. On the way to Spa the car developed another misfire under hard acceleration (didn't affect it at 150 plus leptons ). General consus (over a beer that evening) was that the new misfire is down to probably coil packs (possibly leads) The legend that is M3John has very kindly offered (well, for the price a few pints of beer and a meal) to 'help me' (cough!) replace the coil packs (trying them first, as my car is prone to eating them) so people, what do I need to buy and best place to get them from? I've seen posts about just going to my local Citreon garage, but is this right??

Just save this link Fubes or use the alternative parts Wiki at the top of the Cerb Forum then you won't have to bother us again with your DIY questions http://www.alexjudd.com/cerbera/parts

I've got the red magnecors, have had them about 4 years, not had any trouble with them. Coil packs, on the other hand, are a different kettle of cod. I go through a pair every 18 months, which is why I'm heading down that route first.

Would be interesting to see who manufactures the GSF or ECP coil packs - can you see name on them?

For your information: Bosch part number for this coil is: 0 221 503 025 (and the unit I have in my hand seems to be made China). There are also Hella branded coils for the same purpose with a part number 5DA 749.475-021. This Hella was made in Italy.

I recall that it's best with GSF/Euro CP to ask to sight the unit and packaging before parting with the cash if you can; made in France/China = it'll break within 6 months; made in Germany = good as it gets

I have had Euro Car Parts coils on mine for 4 years without any issue. Just as good as the Bosch ones.
