Go on then, blurt it out.

For me it's got to be Hans Zimmers Batman trilogy. However I think he really nailed it at around the 6 minute mark of this :

Near the top is Spiderman and Inception aswell for me.

I enjoyed Madagascar aswell but in a different way.

Probably Shore's LOTR for me, but Road to Perdition butters a lot of parsnips as well.

Possibly Mass Effect 3. The Mass Effect 2 score was excellent, but when they added a touch of Clint Mansell to ME3 it stepped things up a notch:

Skip to 1:40 for the good stuff.

The 28 Days Later one mentioned above is good, too. And obviously there's Amelie...

Tron legacy has a good soundtrack by Daft Punk. Snippets of it are popping up on tv ads everywhere.
David Lynch's critically panned sci-fi romp Dune has a soundtrack by Toto, it's pretty good. Blade Runner also worthy of a mention. Grosse Pointe Blank hasn't really a soundtrack per se, just lots of good songs throughout as does A Room For Romeo Brass.

Master and Commander, everything Pirates of the Caribbean isn't!
Plus an honourable mention to Dances with Wolves

(film) scores ...

Assault on precinct 13 (John Carpenter) main theme
Amelie (Yann Tiersen) especially this bit
Risky business (Tangerine Dream) Love on a real train

My answers for soundtracks would be different.

Sunshine has a great soundtrack. I'm quite partial to the Highlander soundtrack that Queen did, and Flash Gordon come to think of it.

Obviously Star Wars and LOTR are up there too - can't beat a huge orchestral film score smile

Out of interest, no he didn't. He meant score. I write scores, I don't write soundtracks.
