Looks like a very cheap car that maybe needs a little TLC?

From the description it sounds like its not moved much in the last 4 years, also no mention of the mileage or service history. Seems to good to be true at that price.

His reputation isnt particularly good and those that have dealt with him dont often go back The car is also a bit of a gamble IMO even at that price. A good 2000 car with all the important bits done would be worth around £16-£17k?? ...If the car needs the known issues tackling....like a rebuild, maybe shocks, wishbone bushes, maybe some work on throttle bodies, any lines on dash, some paint TLC, brakes etc etc etc... the bill to sort could be £10k+ You would have a sorted car at the end but it would take some effort... Depends if you want a long termer or some fun for a year...if its the latter it may be worth the risk, knowing if the engine went U/S the car would be scrap...

There are a lot of people in trouble and you can buy exclusive cars at prices that were not imaginable a few years ago...I would call the guy and check his story

I would suggest that it will need some work doing to it at that price but if you go in with that knowledge, could be a bit of a bargain.
As for the seller, i've read lot's of negative thing's about them, mainly due to the standard of their repairs. What I don't agree with is people complaining about lack of service history information. He is selling salvage cars so doesn't have the luxury of cherry picking the best examples or the previous owner passing on service books and the like.
I'm looking at buying a cheap tuscan to start a project and will more than likely buy one from there as, as has been said previously, they have a bit of a monopoly on damaged Tiv's.

I think he had that car advertised a week or 2 ago with a noisy engine, I'm guessing he has repaired or fitted another lump in it , it is a very cheap car so you could expect it to need some work but could be a good winter project?

Was that not a different one that is still for sale at the moment? Think the seller didn't mention the engine problems initially and dropped the price quickly before "admitting" that it needed a top end rebuild.
