Tamiya to Release 1:20 Red Bull RB6
Discussion
Amongst my stash of unbuilt Tamiya kits & 1500 or so die casts I have an original & unbuilt 1/20th Braun Tyrrell Honda with the price sticker on it showing £9.99.
I also have a 1/20thJPS Lotus 78, complete with full JPS decals, which cost me £10.99.
My 1/12 scale McLaren MP4/6 & Williams FW14 both cost me £69.99...... I was recently offered £450.00 for both of the kits.
They are not for sale.
Incidentally - I see that the re-released Tamiya F1 kits not only lack tobacco livery decals - they also lack Goodyear decals for the tyres!!
WTF is that all about? Tobacco i can understand but no Goodyear decals?

Any chance you could post some engine detail pictures of the real car?
Those cars are long gone now so the best thing to do is buy the Haynes RB6 manual for detail.http://www.haynes.co.uk/redbull/

First glance, not terribly impressed for 35 quid. Looks to be an ideal candidate for the etch and decal sellers though as there is masses of detail to add for an engine cover off model;
The carbon decals look very heavy handed as well, which is a surprise for Cartograf.
(Edited to add correct picture)

Apart from there's no engine block on the sprues...just covers and part of the exhausts. A bit disappointing.dr_gn said:

It's tricky, as the RB6 did have a covered engine, but yes, if you're building a cover off model then you'd like to build it with the inner engine covers off as well. I guess we'll add resin to the etched and decal suppliers being pleased!Gassing Station | Scale Models | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
