Have a rev related whine thats linked to the power steering had it in fords last month and they flushed the steering and replaced the fluid now the problem seems to be coming back it is a constant whine that gets louder as you rev the engine and is most noticeable around the 2-2.5k range before being drowned out by the engine sound car is an 09 2.2tdci mondeo titanium x sport has only done 29000miles any ideas as last time I turned up they said if the flush doesnt work might need a new steering rack which I think is ridiculous on a car with so few miles Any Ideas

This might not be quite the same issue but i have a 206 a while ago and i had the same whining sounds. I looked into the problem and it was the air con pump bearings...
Have you had a look at bearings or tensioners ?

Sounds like a blocked filter in the reservoir. Fitting a new reservoir and flushing should fix it.
