Keep getting flashed...

...and not in a good way. My headlights are constantly on full beam regardless of which way I toggle the stalk much to the consternation of oncoming traffic . There is a small amount of flash but its on full dazzle mode pretty much. Even the dashboard beam indicator is blue/on. I guess there is a resistor someplace which aint working , would you guys know where it is.
On another note the fuel gauge reads empty all the time/knackered. Would you that be a fuse someplace? It was never how shall I say accurate ( ie reading half meant full, less than that empty ).
Drove in to work on Monday ( twas sunny in London ) , roof down. One child stopped his mum and pointed. One girl whistled. The usual.

Hi Mate..Hope you are keeping well...If you fancy a trip to greenwich park tomorrow morning for a "Sausage meet" as its re-opened for the public then we could have a look for you..Or check the fuses..remove steering column cowl and check wires..check connections to the headlights..swap relays aoround to see if it makes a difference..make sure you mark the one you remove for the headlights..The fuel sender could have a loose wire on the actual sender, Could just need cleaning and re-fitting..might be a knackered sender..They are from a mini or transit van..But check the obvious first..Ziga
No need to do anything, the wedge decided to address the problem intself. On the way home down Crystal Palace hill both headlights decided to go down and stay down. Generally a pull over and reflick of the swich solves this sort of thing, but not this time.
So that's it , problem solved - Strictly a car for daylight hours. I wager the wiring/connectors are a mess under there , so i will have to sort that out.
Mind you aside from the driving around in the dark the little thing is running like a dream , opened it up on the A23 on Sunday and it really goes and sounds great - 4 Cylinders , who would have thought!

Hi Mate..Mine can be temperamental sometimes and i found it to be the wiring on the O/S pod motor..Give it a wiggle sorted!..The wiring hopefully will all get sorted sometime next year...Dont under estimate the pinto engines, They are very tuneable, Up to 200bhp...There are some mods that show an improvement which cost hardly any money...Maybe food for thought...Cheers..Ziga
