I awoke this morning to find some a$$hole had dumped over 50 used tyres on our farm. This is the second time this year and the police and local council just aren't interested. The cost to have these removed is £200 + VAT out of my pocket because of someone else's money saving scheme. Does anyone have a boat or some other use for them?

You might find local primary schools appreciate them. They like to grow things in them with the kids.

Health and safety gone mad. My local garage had to get rid of his old tyres the other day as H+S deemed it unsafe and a fire risk. It's been ok for the past 10years! He got rid of his properly BTW.

Ring up the council and say they were dumped on the road and that you moved them off as they were dangerous. Ask them to come and pick them up. If they don't tell them you will be putting them back on the road!

Lets play spot the tyre. Can anyone name any brand of tyre just from the picture of the tread? Correct answers win the tyre in question. £1 a guess, all funds go to the OP for his clean up operation.

Hey! that's not a bad idea, will protect expensive armco from damage, thus saving the taxpayer lots of money, potentially. Codswallop said: Contribute to road safety - start tying them up to local Armco Don't really do this - the council is bound to get uppity

Find the nearest tyre/kwick fit independent type place.
Dump it outside their place at night.
It was probably them.

Line the f king things up on the edge of the road. Council might pay attention then. Tipping like this really gets my goat, came across and old bathroom suite the other weekend when out for a walk. Cheeky sods.
