right, for the benefit of a network numpty, is it technically possible to create a home mesh network using sonos bridges so that ethernet only equipment can connect into a home network remote from the modem/router? ie sky box.
i know there are cheaper ways of doing this wirelessly, but i'm thinking of getting into the sonos stuff anyway.

Technically - yes
Although today I did it for a client, connected an apple express box to a sonobs connect:amp and it took the whole of the rest of the system down.
Both Sonos and Apple wifi stuff. Very odd and had to turn back from the route to another London meeting to fix it.
