I was aware of the bonnet, but had totally missed lack of chin spoiler
If I can't source another bonnet the plan is to try to get a template and modify the existing one.

Al Small world isn't it!!!! I have a complete Lancia HPE volumex lying in my garage which I bought for the mechanicals - might have to speak to you if you need a spares car!

I am contemplating selling my VX, as I have too many cars and not enough space or time, so may concentrate efforts on my Beta 1300 Coupe and my Eclat. If I do decide to sell, I'll lob an ad on PH and also try eBay.

Looks like a blue Berlina in the background. I guess he's a fan.

I would've thought the "hifi" name has the same basis as HF rather than anything to do with the stereo as he suggests.

Seeing that car sent me off into the google vortex and I think that car sold in Scotland a few months ago.

The Lancia geek book says that it is to do with the stereo, but car books are usually full of mahoosive fibs.*

Nope he is correct - the HIFI was a special edition based around the Voxson stereo to shift unsold rusting Betas - nothing to do with competition designation HF

Yes hifi model was named due to stereo, also had stripes and rear spoiler ( I had one of those spoilers fitted on my 2.0 coupe which we converted to 1.3 twin cam).

Here is my rust free 1600 Beta Coupe being picked up in Cape Town for cambelt service and major service before boarding a container for the UK!



My other project is a Series 1968 1 1750 GTV - shell is good and the gearbox is in the boot!




Does anyone know who I contact to establish year of manufacture of my Lancia Beta- have the chassis number for a dating letter)and am a member of the Lancia Owners club?
