Hi, I had a nasty bike accident earlier this week. I'm okay but battered and bored out of my brains off work. I've exhausted my next five years' worth of what car threads so now I'm trying a what game threat!
I'm not hugely into games so I'm guessing plenty has passed me by. I have a PS3, iPad and iMac to use. I enjoyed the assassins creed games and like stuff to think about like machinarium on the mac.
Any ideas of what to try before I kill myself through boredom!?

If you want to use a lot of time, there's Skyrim...
It is quite problematic on PS3 though.
GT5 possibly?

LA Noire could be worth a go too.

Thanks for the replies.
I've not heard of skyrim, I'll have a look.
I've got GT5 but forgot all about it, I think I only have the silly long races left so perfect opportunity!
I had one of the uncharted games and loved it, Drake's something or other, I'm sure there are a few since, I'll have a look at those.
I've got L.A noire, I started playing it again from where I left it off today. I'm on the missions with the dodgy flashy dressed partner. I'm enjoying it!
Thanks again

Another vote for Fallout 3, it lasts absolutely ages and saw me through my convalescence. Also consider GTA IV.

I was going to suggest the Thief series, but it seems it is PC and XBox only. Sigh. If you want to lose hundreds of hours then I suggest Minecraft plus some of the add-ons. I think it is Java based so should be fine on Mac. The iOS one won't be moddable though.

For cheapness get a copy of Red Dead Redemption. Top cowboy nonsense.
Also, whatever you do, don't do what a colleague of mine did when off long term sick.
Warcraft is not fun, it is dangerous.
Unfortunately, I was sucked in for a while, but I managed to escape.
Ding!

It's one of those games which may not have the instant "wow" factor, but one where you suddenly realise you've just spent 6 hours playing it. New Vegas makes a number of small improvements but manages to be less than the sum of this parts. Still recommended though

If you are looking to waste time Fallout and Skyrim will suck your life away! Dragon Age is pretty fun too Mass Effect series is good, Space Marine is a good option for the money too at only £5.
