I hate them. Am I the only one? I want to burn down their marquee.

I'm quite enjoying it. That Paul bloke can be a bit of a c0ck though. The presenters are ok though.

I once went to a party where Mary Berry did the catering. Everyone who ate one particular dish (including me) had a dose of the trots - thanks Mary.

To be fair, I think both Brendan and James would be worthy winners as they are both hugely talented. James deserves it for being so young and yet being so good. Brendan is a time-served baker with a huge knowledge and skill base, something referenced numerous times this series. Winning the show would be some great reward for his accomplishments. Both are utterly deserving of the win as they have both done a fantastic job. I love the show. It's a great soother after a s t day. Paul Hollywood is also the man, he knows his baking. I know bugger all about baking and yet I find the show extremely compelling and this year has been the best so far, mainly because Brendan and James have been delivering the goods week in, week out for a while now! Also, points to anyone who spots the Depeche Mode reference in there.

I love it, didn't want Danny to go as she'd done some great bakes in the past but did drop the ball this week. James is my favourite but Brendon is perhaps the most skilled although appears to take fewer risks...certainly be interesting to see what happens next week. What it has taught me though is that home-made bagels and home-made chocolate tea cakes are not worth the hassle

I'm addicted to this, I'm afraid to say. I am a hopeless baker, but it is very inspiring to watch the often amazing creations of these amateurs.
James FTW.

would have preferred danni to stay in, instead of john(? the one with the floppy hair) but sadly she just had quite a bad week, and to be fair, even i know you don't just dump cornflour into a hot pan of milky custard!
i think brendan is the strongest and has been consistently throughout the series, but for some reason i don't think he's going to win. the little scottish guy is more family friendly.

You just know Brendan's got fava beans and chianti at the top of his shopping list.

Anybody else watch the final? James had a mare!! I think he tried far too much.
Good series though, I'll definitely watch next years.

This year's competition, for me, was the worst ever.
The general level of baking was very poor and James was the only contestant who showed any form of individuality or inspiration.
The final - across the board - was shameful.
Still enjoyed watching it, but I hope the producers don't let the quality of contestant slide in the same way as, for example, Come Dine with Me changed from people who genuinely like to cook to the 'I wanna be on telly' crowd.

"FAR too cakey, this cake". This is the single most moronic programme ever made. Please, someone explain why a normal person would spend thier free time watching a programme showing people making cakes? It is beyond comprehension to me, but Im genuinely interested as I know it has a huge audience
