So you write about the girl going missing you get 12 weeks locked away.
You write about robbing your local McDonalds during the riots you get locked away.
You write about wanting British soldiers to die and burn in hell and you get ......fk all.
http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/at-a-glance/ma...

Even turning up to court not in a suit and showing no remorse you don't even get locked up. I wonder why the judge did this ...oh wait it's because he is a Muslim and we can't offend them can we. I mean we sure as fk can't deport them in less than 5 years.

He wasn't even commenting about some distant events - these were local lads that died - hugely upsetting to the local community, unfortunately it didn't upset the 'right' community.

If I wrote about wanting Pakistani's to burn in hell you could guarantee they would be burning flags quicker than you could say 'modern Britain'. The whole situation is fked up. And examples like this were people get treated differently just fuels all the EDL dheads.

And the even got a police escort leaving the court. Hope they checked the tax and insurance on the datsun that picked him up!

Morning rant over now I'm going to get some coffee.

3/10. not nearly racist enough to be a genuine rant. I suspect you are just seeking attention smile

Well that's half the problem - I, like 95% of people on here really don't care about creed, race, colour or if your bent or not ...just as long as your a good bloke and agree that Audi S-Line drivers are dicks. It's just a shame that the government and people in power make the distinction and treat people differently. I thought it was all about cohesion not special treatment as long as you tick a certain box.

Is the lenient nature of his punishment down to the non-person specific nature of his post ?

He wrote "All soldiers should burn in hell" not "Joe Bloggs, British soldier deserved to die and will go to hell"

If it were the latter then it might have been construed as more hatefull.

Mind you, his hat looks stupid so perhaps the Judge gave him the benefit of the doubt regarding his metal acumen.

I personally would have given him jailtime. But then again i'm not a judge, or have any legal experience.

What stupid, irresponsible comments (him, not posts on PH).

The guy imho is a an absolute dick, but I prefer free speech for everyone than being muzzled on everything...which is what political mission creep will eventually mean.

That's just your view though. The Judge decided that he avoided jail because he didn't specify and target one individual, not because he is a muslim as the thread is titled.

Just picking up on something fella. A comparable analogy would be if you suggested all Pakistani soldiers should die or burn in hell. I doubt you'd get much flag burning or attention for that comment. Saying that though, the comments he made were so insensitive and out of order that he really needs a good slap.

Or stated Taliban fighters should die or burn in hell. I'm sure social media is full of statements like that. You certainly wouldn't expect to go to prison for stating it.

Sounds like the difference between making a targeted nasty statement and a general nasty statement.

Neither of which should land you prison or result in a community order, imho.

But whats wrong with saying ''I hope all soldiers die and go to hell''? To me that is not a crime.

If you say something like ''I pray someone kills Cpl. Jones and he goes to hell'' or ''I hope someone kills a British solidier on guard duty at Buckingham Palace and he goes to hell'' then these are crimes because you can be seen to be inciting violence.

If you say ''I hope someone kills a soldier in Helmand and he goes to hell'' that shouldnt even be a crime because Helmand is a battle field and soldiers are going to die in a battle field. The ones you hope to die will just depend on which side you support.

I personally feel all paedophiles should get crushed by an 18 wheeler and go to hell. Does this offend Paedophiles? Are the police on their way to get me as I type this?

I guess it depends if the targeted bit is deemed (by the courts) to be harassment or abuse.
