Picked up a can of this stuff after reading about it in US forums. It seems to work very well as a brake dust barrier -seems the brake dust is properly repelled and doesn't want to stick to the wheel. I've tried other nanotreatements before and whilst they do make cleaning easier, they don't seem to keep the dust off like this stuff.

The yanks do seem to rave about it I've been using this stuff for a few years http://www.collinite.com/automotive-wax/insulator-...Not found anything better My wheels had it on from new and have done 9k miles so far. Came back from a recent 4.5k 2 week trip and the wheels came back up to as new with a quick "no rinse" wash I redo it once a year but I doubt I need to.

I've got them on mine and to prevent the brake dust staining them i'm considering a solution. Would this work?

I use the Michelin brake dust repellent and it is excellent. I was unaware we could get armorall in the UK as it is meant to be even better.
Mikey I used it only on my V8V wheels and went around Europe with no wheel cleaning and they were basically still clean after the whole journey. Brilliant stuff.

I've had similar results from Swissvax Autobahn.

I had Amorall provided with my welly boots as a protectant for the rubber. After many years they look good as new. Didn't know I could use it on my wheels. A weekend project methinks

Hi mikey, Yes collinite is an excellent wax and makes cleaning the wheels a breeze. Thing is, the wheel still gets dirty!!! This armorall stuff prevents the dirt from sticking in the first place so you don't even need to rinse the wheels. I'll try an sort out a photo diary on my daily driver wheels at some point. I would wait for the bogof at halfords or try and get a caseload of the stuff from Costco. Each canister should be good for 3 applications of all four wheels including the inside of the rim and needs to be repeated monthly. Whilst cleaning up the alloys prior to applying this stuff, I noticed a fair degree of pitting of the rear of spokes and inner edges. It's tricky but I would advise a thorough clean and application in that area too.

Yep I understood that The Collonite goes on in three coats once a year over the capilers and the WHOLE of the alloy As you say it makes them a breeze to clean However I tend to do high miles between washes (4.5k last time!) so something that stops it sticking for a bit longer may be a good plan! I'll try the Armorall on top of the Collonite and see what it does.

Used this Armorall stuff on the for the first time 2 months ago. An excellent product, BUT you must not touch the wheels. Just hose off the wheels, not power wash. Anything that touches the wheels removes the product and you end up with areas that start to accumulate the brake dust.

I've seen this stuff on johns (token jock) v8 and it's impressive.
However, I was under the impression that it couldn't be bought over here?

Maybe not the same then, as it had a banned substance in the US version and was not available in the UK. Perhaps that has changed???
