Can anyone give me some pointers as to the best places to look for insurance on a heavily modified R8, I have tried the usual suspects of Sky and Adrian Flux, are there any others around offering decent quotes?

Bridle and Need to Insure are a couple that some use. There's another current thread which people have commented about both on.

Flux came good for me this time - a modified quote less than the standard quote two years ago! (which was why I left them at the time).

Just renewed this week with bridle though with new insurer as previous one had jumped price by over 300 quid. Pity as they'd been good last year and had included 5 track days.

The only problem with that, is that Flux are a major site sponsor. We don't want to be biting the hand that feeds us.

We've all phoned Flux for a quote and ...... then gone elsewhere. It's up to them if they want to be competetive [or not] , nobody's saying they're no good.

You're both quite right. It can't be worse than the monthly thread asking for recommendations.
