quality isn't quite up to scratch which is my own fault when finalizing it

Anybody suffering with a lack of wifi from the camera (Hero3+ Black)
I recently upgraded through the gopro app and all was working fine.
On a separate occasion I tried to use the remote and pair it up but couldn't. I then tried to use it through the phone app and again I can't pair the camera with the phone as it is not seeing any wifi signal.
I have since tried upgrading through the PC and no change.
Out of interest I can see the remote control wifi signal on the phone settings wifi menu but nothing from the camera.
Is it knackered?
I have lodged a fault with customer support but still waiting at the moment for a response

Don't email them, just phone them and they were very helpful. Mines gone back, waiting for a fix/replacement now.
David
Thanks David
Just read that. Similar problem but I am getting no wifi out of the camera at all!
How long have you been waiting for a replacement and where is it coming from?
Mine was purchased at John Lewis at Christmas so presume I'll just rock up and ask for a replacement.
Anyone else done this or will they send it away for a second opinion.

If I were you I'd try John Lewis, they're usually very helpful.
Dumb point but you have pushed the button on the side and switch wifi on and/or gone into settings and set it for wifi app not remote or off haven't you?
Can anyone recommend which Go Pro to go for?
I'm going over to France/Italy in summer and will be driving there, so looking at taking some footage. I've settled on a Go pro as my camera of choice, I was looking at a Go Pro 2, mainly because they're cheaper than the 3 and it won't be used *that* much.
However, the added benefits of the 3 would be quite handy, especially the Wifi as it'll help with recording when it's mounted outside of the car.
What are the added benefits between Silver/Black/motorsport editions besides still shot quality? and which will I need?
For now the only planned usage is car use, inside and out. If it's kept for a few years (which at the price, I should hope so!), it may be used for some motorbike filming. I don't need the remote, the android app will do me.
Obviously, without doing any research, the motorsport one seems to be the most useful, but Amazon has it listed at a whopping £414.

The wi fi control is really good.

The Silver is the best value for money, in my opinion. The Black is obviously the best, and the White is a little basic. The Silver is the best balance between the two. The Motorsport Edition isn't a model; it's an accessory bundle.
I always go for the best (I can afford), or the cheapest. Cars, cameras, houses, computers, furniture - makes no difference. I worked out long ago that going for 'in the middle' never worked (for me at least).

Hi guys, tried reading through the thread as I'm sure it will be be in here somewhere but can't find it, what's a good value mic that I can set up in the tvr to improve the sound for track days?
Thanks!
I have a Rode Stereo Videomic Pro and the sound quality on the HD Camcorder is excellent. Need to turn the recording level down most of the time on the Camcorder as it picks up everything. It's came down in price too. Thanks!
No idea how you would connect it to the GoPro but there will be a way.....!

I recently bought an Ultradisk 4033 mic (based on a video posted on this thread somewhere) it works quite well, has a long cable and is reasonably priced. Thanks!
