Facelift models are looking quite attractive I think.

£275pm on a 6+23 for an alpine white 5 door manual with the business nav and driver package. Only 6,000 miles pa though.

Seems quite similar to those awesome G2L deals they were doing 2 years ago?
Where is this deal? Have a Golf R on order but getting cold feet....

Serious question here guys.....any tips for driving an auto on standard tyres in the snow? We've just had a light sprinkling and it's already all over the place. I'm concerned I'm not going to get home tonight.
You could try it in eco mode - bit gentler on the throttle response and power. The auto should put you in as big a gear as possible so I'd just leave it to it. Good luck!

If it's anything like my manual it struggled to do anything in snow until I turned off the traction control, completely off, as in press and hold the button rather than just a single press. I was pulling away on quite a steep hill at the time - it might have been better on flatter terrain.

In other M135i news my dealership has replaced the whole headunit due to cracked buttons (took a second attempt and pointing them towards a similar thread on PH to convince them it wasn't just a scratch). They also fitted some slightly taller rubber bungs into the armrest, an updated part apparently, to fix the creaking sound it was making.

BMW's have always been like this, everything needs to be off to make progress in the snow.
Just be ready for it to slew sideways at any point!!

Are those 4wd or fwd? I think the USP of the M135i will always be that it is rear wheel drive.
Those figures are inc VAT by the way. PM for the contact if you're interested.

Can someone tell me if my heater is bust please.

I leave it on auto, put the temperature up to 26 each side (when it's very cold)

The centre vent on the drivers side never blows, only the passenger side. I don't know if this is normal behaviour for the auto mode, as it knows someone is in the drivers seat?

If I go to manual it will blow through my side of the dash vents, just not on auto. Ever.

This sounds normal. The same thing happens on my 2er. Closing the rear vents is supposed to increase airflow through the drivers vent as the air is usually shared with the front and rear vents.

HI,
I think I got 21%off list price
10k per annum including maintenance

Still not decided but I know its good deal.
I want something bonkers so I`m trying to cut a deal with few Merc dealers on A45AMG.
So far managed to get to £440 pcm, £7k initial payment, 10k per annum on ex demo fully specced £43k model with 3k miles on the clock.

I have set myself a limit of £400 pcm and promised my other half to stick with it.
Once you go to £450 then you can say hey, I can afford £500 per month with my allowance ....

Decisions, decisions, decisions

I`ll probably end up buying something second hand to keep me rolling for a year or so and wait for the right deal on M3 or C63.
They must come sooner or later!!!

So, approaching one year in here are my thoughts

Likes

Pace, it murders pretty much everything
HK
Autobox
Ergonomics
Sound
Living with it day to day
MPG - 32mpg with lots of hooning

Dislikes

Range
No advanced Bluetooth means car iPhone won't connect consistently
Almost too polished. 320bhp is too much for daily commute

The car does feel a little jack of all trades master of none. I am fortunate to have an M3 CSL and that is way more fun. Also have a 175k passat and that is more relaxing on the commute believe it or not.

It's a great car, very good all rounder but not fallen in love with it

Currently on 9,000 after some big miles of late. 3 cars and being away for a third of the year does impact it's use. The Passat in the same time has done 12,000 which kind of shows what I tend to jump in on a cold winters morning

Don't think I'll buy of the lease company but interested in what it is worth to them. But annoyed I'll need new tyres on about 15k. Will have to murder them in the last 5,000!

Also service says it's due a couple of weeks before I give it back on time but not mileage. Will I have to service it?

All in all still glad I got it. Thought this will either send me down the M3 daily route or I'll get a 6 pot diesel. Got a Jag XF lined up already as a replacement. Comfort over hp for the daily grind

I think that's how many owners feel about the car, but it does seem to be dependant on what they've come from. For some (my father-in-law as an example) it strikes the perfect balance between comfort and speed.

For me, it's made me miss a crisp throttle response and an LSD. I'll be looking at a 911 next and damn the running costs (if I can get on with the unique 911 handling traits).

Sorry for reviving this again, but with facelift cars due in showrooms soon, how likely do you guys think it will be that dealers will be offering deals to shift pre-facelifted stock? A bit out of touch - are there still good finance deals/discounts available on M135is?

Interesting, not bad! Think i'll have to wait until April when my job finishes, currently clocking 15k miles PA but hopefully that should drop to about 6k
