I've often needed the ol' lugs syrenged over my adult life, maybe once every few years but this year, I'm on my fourth time already.

Compounding the problem is the mission impossible that is trying to get a nurses appointment at the local quacks.

Is this just getting old, it's seriously starting to piss me off (I'm almost 36).

I've stopped using cotton wool buds to clean my ears out but still I keep getting blocked.

Any tips?

A little warm brandy dropped in and plug it for a while with cotton wool. Poke it all out later !

A few drops of olive oil can clear it........softens it up and it drops out.

After attempting to fabricate an ear syringing machine using the cat's drinking fountain, some silicone vacuum hose and other hose fittings - I ended up getting this kit from Otex: http://www.otexear.com/otexrange/otex-express-comb...

It did work surprisingly well, although I think it's critical to have softened the build up first (with their drops, or olive oil etc).

The cat was pleased too biggrin

I'd be worried and going straight to A&E personally. I once read that bloody earwax is a sign that your brain is escaping eek

Treat yourself to some ear spoons and learn how to use them smile

Dont use cotton wool buds, they compact the wax against the drum.

Try in your local independent pharmacy for a Rat Tailed Ear Syringe, if they are still available.A few drops of olive oil in the ear at bedtime then syringe in the morning going gently with warm water.
