Hello, I'm new to this forum having recently purchased a 2005 DB9, the car is excellent but unfortunatley the spare/second key and remote have been lost in the bowels of the previous owners house, can anyone suggest or advise on replacement options

Thanks
Ian

There is a remote fob on eBay at the moment. I think you will have buy the key from a dealer.

My advise is go straight to AM, I bought a new fob of E-bay, but a well known indie couldn't programme it, ended up having a row before getting money back and then got it done at AM

You can easily replace it, or blaze a trail for the rest of us who have keys with fobs; with a new type of key.

Get a new one of these cut and programmed, you’d lose the panic alarm ( no hardship) but gain a one-piece retractable key.

Then just cover up the Jag symbol. Can it be done or has someone already done it?

Just an idea.

A new key cut for your ign is about £70

The remote fob is about £95

The key can be ordered as single item whilst the fobs come in pairs, i'm sure you could find a dealer that will sell as individual though.

The key and fob both need programming and is simple 10min job

These keys off ebay etc, are pretty useless unless they're in their origional packaging with the coding card to program the fob.
