Last night's lesson: Don't spend nearly an hour jumping somewhere, then "just do a bit of bounty hunting" before you dock anywhere. Because when you get exploded, you go all the way back to where you started 
Dumb, dumb, dumb.
My second attempt at BH in a RES went just as badly, I got double teamed by a pair of pirates in cobras and had to bug out with 11% hull left. Not a very productive session!
I think I might head downwards into the empire/federation border for a bit now.

Spent last night camping a Nav point. Managed to rack up 120k in under an hour. I feel they need to sort the AI out as I can take on most Elite Ships in my starter ship with only minimal issues. The only thing that has caused me a moment of grief is a Drop Ship and then that was over as soon as I knocked out its drive and power 
^ Nice. I must be getting close to competent too, I've found a great RES in Wintii, only 1.8Ls from Whymper Station meaning I can BH there for about 90 minutes before going back to refuel and re-arm. Average credit haul in that time is 250k - 350k Cr and it's much more fun than trading! My Cobra has A and B rated upgrades on pretty much everything (the D2 beams were eye-wateringly expensive but cut through most ships shields in seconds 
) then it's off to find Cmdr Battleship Kickass for some retribution.

:-) I've just had a CMDR Cobra fire on me after ages of watching me.... I boosted away from him then when my shields had returned boosted back into the fight !! It was my first proper CMDR engagement and I was so excited I over ran !!! Had to boost away again but with only 40% Shields. ) then it's off to find Cmdr Battleship Kickass for some retribution.Rushed back to rearm and repair but he wasn't their when I got back to the beacon ....

Don't know, I wasn't really tracking my progress against kills & bounties. I miss "Right on Commander"!Currently at 1243 kills and just over Cr10M in bounties, still Expert
I've only killed NPCs though so far, I wonder if a PvP kill would count more?anonymous said:

Trouble is, with a T7 it's possible to make Cr2M-Cr3M per hour but as you say it's utterly tedious any which way you do it. I could afford to run a Python if I put in 50 hours or so doing this, but I just can't bring myself to do it...

During the beta although the rares were limited in supply, you could have unlimited amounts. So there was a lot of "afk" trading i.e. sit at a rare site in a T7, every 10 minutes load up with another 10 rares, then when you've got 200t do the leap and sell for millions.And, as mentioned there was the trading glitch over xmas. Unfortunately my experience was bug free during that time!

I don't know if I'm missing something but my bounties always seem to cash in at the stations for more than they show in the transaction list. I'm not complaining but the figures are usually quite far out! For instance a short session tonight netted 107k Cr but it cashed in for 153k Cr.
In the same vain, I always end up winging a police ship and getting a 325 Cr bounty on my head but it costs 488 Cr to settle. Is this a bug, or something I'm not seeing?

Just made my first 60k credits from scavenging 
Have to admit it is not fun working from an anarchy base, although I'm learning to avoid interdictions and evade incoming fire when I'm caught!
Made a mistake the first time and thought floating loot would be accepted anywhere, didn't realise it'd flag up as stolen and cause me to be fined

Just a couple of questions I hope you CMDRs can help with
1. Is there a way of selecting the hyperdrive rather than super cruise? Sometimes I find I'm travelling quite a distance on super cruise with no option of hyperdrive (from Eravate to Dalton Gateway yesterday took a while!)
2. I've noticed the 'mod' for changing the HUD colour, does this have any adverse effects on other parts of the game in your experience as I was reading that it can interfere with the Galaxy map etc?
