R22 DAJ on something, spaced as R22D AJ, and OA55 TRA spaced as O A55TRA on, you guessed it, a Ford Focus.

Spotted in the paddock at Donington last weekend. Note to self - when taking pictures on your phone, keep your fingers out of the way... laugh

Plate is forgiven.
Pray why?

Chavilly spaced like that, the plate IS decidedly crappy, and ruins a decent car.........yes

It would be far cooler IF it was spaced legally and correctly..........

In my experience, people who think that private plates are 'crappy' are those who can't find a plate with the sequence they want, can't afford a private plate but would like to have on, can afford a private plate but their wife will not let them buy one. wink
My plate is private as are all plates they are unique. What you are talking about are vanity plates.
Which fall into two categories. Legal and illegal.

The legal ones are all about the Platees personal vanity and the illegal ones clearly demonstrate the Platees general attitude to the law.

Not always about money either - some vanity plates are given as gifts or inhertited.

Not a lot you can say about this beauty!

It makes my angry! How do they not get pulled over for this? Surely they can't get away with a plate like that forever?

I can't understand why people or even the law, gets upset about spacing. Trying to misrepresent or change a numeral to look like a letter is very wrong, but what difference does it really make if the regulation 33mm between the digit 'blocks' is changed?
The APNR system will differentiate between, for instance A1 ABC & ABC 1A so what's the big deal if the spacing is moved?
The sooner the DVLA relax the rules (as was rumourd a while back) the better
BTW all my plates are to the exact regulation dimensions, so makes no difference to me!

Totally agree , misrepresentation - if it had been TB05 WEL spaced T B05WEL, why wouldn't that be acceptable?

It's actually not about the spacing - or any other feature of an illegal plate

It's about the fk the law attitude any Platee displays when choosing to have a illegal plate in the first place. Look past the immediate surface appearance of any plate that isn't displayed correctly and you'll see that it's that particular attitude illegal plates represent which is the real problem.

Agree... all very childish... if you want something on your plate have it in the small print at the bottom instead of the usual 'GarageName'. Oh bugger, seems I am probably opening up a new can of worms, but smaller ones, that can only be seen up close...

And you've never driven above a speed limit in your life? Or is that a "fk the law attitude" that you're happy to accept because you do it?
