The threads should be merged, or both capped and the new thread simply, Films I watched this weekend or during the week.
Fixed that for you. Inside Out - 7/10
Hmmmmm I normally really like Pixar films, but this didn't quite hit the spot. It is clever and imaginative for sure but I didn't quite engage or find it that funny (the trailer scene with the family arguing at dinner is the best bit of the film). My 8 year old daughter said she enjoyed it but not sure she clicked with it as much as say Despicable Me, was a bit more factual on workings of the mind, and less slapstick humour which an 8 year old likes. Felt like it was too many ideas for one film, would have been better as an extended film of the above mentioned scene rather than the adventure story of getting back to base inside the brain.

Echoes my thoughts on it. It's been getting a lot of very good reviews and is lauded by many as one of Pixar's great films, which I just don't see personally. I think the issue is that they've not had a good film since Toy Story 3 in 2010 so more of a return to form than anything truly special.Hmmmmm I normally really like Pixar films, but this didn't quite hit the spot. Southpaw
After some really rough events, a former boxing champion has to fight harder than ever before to regain both his title and his family.
Absolutely brilliant, Jake Gyllenhaal has really stepped his game up, his last two movies have been epic. The acting was stellar throughout and the child actor who played his daughter was phenomenal.
Its sort of a mixture of Rocky III, Rocky IV and Rocky V - except a lot more serious and realistic.
My only complaints are that when he goes to train, essentially starting from the beginning again, he gets taught all the basic defense moves again - as if a bloke who had a world title would need to be retrained the absolute basics that even I know!
Don't watch a trailer for this, it gives away a big plot point!
8/10

I also watched this yesterday with OH. hadn't read much about it, but knew it was about a boxer. After some really rough events, a former boxing champion has to fight harder than ever before to regain both his title and his family.

We thought it was worth a watch, OH said it was good. JG has clearly put in the effort, and the young girl was very good. Just a shame the story is so clichéd and a bit predictable.
I'd give it 7/10. Worth a watch, but not as good as The Fighter or Cinderella Man.
Ted 2 - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2637276/
I was a little apprehensive about watching this as I thought the first one was great, however it's ace.
It's a different film, plays more like an episode of Family Guy than the first (even has 'bits) the humour is a bit more in your face but I really laughed.
I liked the constant running gags and continuing the idea from A Million ways to die that Amanda Seyfried has massive eyes, this time comparing her to Gollum, thought it showed good sport on her part.
8.5/10 from me.

'Dude, Where's My Car'.
So, so funny. Utterly silly and juvenile, but IMO one of the funniest films ever.
"And then?"
I absolutely hated this film. IMO one of the unfunniest films ever. Comedy is a marmite thing. So, so funny. Utterly silly and juvenile, but IMO one of the funniest films ever.
"And then?"
This one missed for me, really didn't find it funny.
