Got some serious sinus pain going on here just now. Not for the first time but this is worse. Feels like someone is standing on my cheek bone. Sore teeth, the lot. Sinusitis by the looks of it.

Have sent the wife for a spray decongestant thing but i think i've used my own bodyweight in tissues.

Jack daniels is next as a pain killer!

Anyone else suffer?

Yes, it's horrible, I get frontal sinus headaches frequently in the winter. The best thing I find for easing the pain is soluble aspirin.

Yes, i read that but aspirin for me is a no no. So a nasal spray, paracetamol and Jack D is it! The mrs has her speech already prepared for the paramedics when they turn up.

I'm currently typing this through half st eyes after taking the inhale steam advice and adding vaporub. Clearly too much but it's helping.

Another vote here , they are an odd sensation but very good , I used to get weeks of sinus congestion after every cold but this has really helped .

Another vote for these from me. I ended up in hospital last year with Sinusitis; they widen some passage or other and hoovered out some polyps. The Neilmed rinse is a pain in the arse, feels really weird, sometimes causes your nose to drip salt water some time after doing it, but it definitely does the trick!

Co-codamol, whisky and antibiotics.

The relief when the pain lets go and the bloody sinus fluid drains away.

I was plagued by sinus problems in my late teens. Used to leave me with bloodshot eyes. Fortunately, I haven't had a sinus infection in years, but I recall how debilitating the pain is.

You have my sympathies. Hope the painkillers are good.

Last night was a nightmare. Ended up phoning NHS 24 as i couldn't really feel my teeth. Then the stupid doctor approached, me pressed right where the pain was and asked 'Is that sore'. There were nearly 2 sore faces in that room!

Anyway, i've got antibiotics and strong co-codamol. Pain is just there just now but the numb feeling in my teeth is really weird.

The steam / vaporub did work if for only a short time but the relief was welcome. I'm knackered mind you having not slept much but round to of alcohol and pain killers tonight will sort that.

If it continues after normal treatments have failed, go to the dentist, ask for x-rays and mention sinusitis.

I had severe pain in the face to the point i couldn't concentrate, turned out it was decay inside a tooth and it was getting close to the nerve. Same place both sides strangely.

Pain was intense in the cheek area, I was absolutely sure beforehand that it was a normal sinus infection as I had snotty/blocked nose and the usual sinusitis feeling.
