Clean vs dirty car mythbusters
Mythbusters Clean Car vs Dirty Car S07E14 4/4: http://youtu.be/LKxEkT2H8pI

it starts about halfway in, most interesting is they use clay to make the bodywork like a golf ball and it increases mpg!

That's pretty cool

Dimples help to reduce drag, that's why golf balls and some road bike wheels are dimpled so it would translate into better mpg in a car.

Diesel Power Challenge 2014

If that sounds insufferably boring, the diesels are in ridiculous american pickups, with a bunch of owners seemingly cast from the same mould.

The trucks look tough but are seemingly constantly on the verge of mechanical catastrophe. I think if you entered in a stock pickup, you could probably end up mid table just by surviving.

Watch how close they stand to dyno runs. One competitor even said that his truck was built purely for dyno-ing...

Massively impressive, especially seeing a 3 ton truck run a 10.8sec/130mph quarter mile (almost Veyron speed) and then manage 15 (US) MPG at high altitude.

Shame they had to virtually wreck them with that silly sled pull.

Guy in the car should just have slowed and let him out. He had plenty of time to do that but decided to tough it out with a 40tonne truck. I don't but his version of events that he only 'noticed' the indicator when it was too late to slow in a controlled manner.

I'm not sure about that one. Seems a fairly hefty gap at c. 17 seconds when the lorry is moving across, but the camera car kept going.
Can't tell the speeds involved, though

Not just me then.
Strange how prolific youtubers (cyclists and drivers alike) get into these predicaments so often

EVO's Henry Catchpole drives a Boxster GTS on Majorcan roads :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1LhUzL3qdU

i) I never knew Majorca had such great roads (maybe that's how Jorge Lorenzo learned to ride a bike at pace)

ii) That Boxster sounds very good indeed

iii) Catchpole - for me - is the best video journalist on line at the moment; he just seems to capture the boy-ish fun of loving cars and driving for the hell of it.
