They are 2-3 weeks old and still being bottle fed. Not sure where exactly they came from but the British person looking after them flies home on Monday so I volunteered to take over. One of them has a new home lined up but they can't collect him till the 26th December. We'll try and find a home for the other one but wouldn't be surprised if he ends up staying here biggrin

Does anyone have any idea what type of dogs they look to be? They'll just be a mix of something... but what? How big are they likely to grow to?

I've got them here now:

They were dumped in a bin when they were a week old, there was 3 but one died. I've absolutely no idea what i'm doing with looking after them but been reading up and have contact numbers of people who can give advice so we'll see what happens.

Can you get goat's milk? Feed them that.

They've been getting puppy milk formula so far so I bought the same brand to hopefully avoid upsetting them... if I can get goats milk would it be worth switching over? Maybe give them some of each?

Raw goat's milk is supposed to be great for puppies and replicates natural food (well, dog!) better than the mix up stuff as far as I know. Can be difficult to get hold of though, perhaps somewhere like Raw to Paw or Raw to Go or LandyWoods can get it.......

Were they from Portugal?

Dogs are in portugal yeah. I went to the supermarket and the pet shop today and neither had goats milk so looks like we'll be sticking with the powdered milk for now.

They don't look like Podengos, Water Dogs or Estrelas, those are the three Portuuese breeds I can ID....

Wonder if they are cross-breeds then

They must be, as if they were one type of dog they'd presumably have some cash value and not have been put in a plastic bag and chucked in a bin...

Had them a couple of weeks now, both are getting on great smile The little one was not particularly easy to feed to begin with but they're both taking their bottles with absolutely no problem now.

Just reading over this old thread, it must be dusty in here, I think i've got something in my eye.

Both these dogs ended up getting rehomed, but because of work stuff the boy ended up taking a cross europe Lamborghini road trip with me biggrin

He's been rehomed in Czech Rep, living in a big house next to a forrest - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKBFYKfwcAY&fea...

Felt like crying when I let the little guy go to his new home to be honest, but its for the best smile

No idea, they were just a bit of a mix of everything really. His sister looked sort of like an Alsation but he didn't at all.

He was way bigger than her... so much so that you'd never have thought they were siblings.

Chap in the video looks like a Belgian Malinois never seen them in the flesh but from google images, looks right.
