Initial warning, this might be a little gross as i detail some of the movements of my nose and throat, so leave now if easily upset! wink

For about a week now (and seemingly worse since this cold weather), from the moment i wake up, i feel like i've got loads of green st at the back of my throat and nose. I dont feel ill, but its just a horrible feeling. Trying to cough it up just doesnt work. The other day i half sneezed and a really solid but small yellow thing came out, like a breadcrumb (what the fk).

It's horrible because the only way i can rid it is by swallowing it a little bit at a time. (eugh). It kinda makes me want to be sick, but i cant think of any other way/cure.

I've not been ill recently so dont think its an infection or anything.

Just prior to writing this, I just coughed and brought a bit up and nearly puked. It was a solid hard piece of green/brown st, it was flat and about the size of a 5p. What the hell. I'll also find that this gunk has tiny traces of blood in it, and i'll have the occasional nosebleed in winter, but i assume this is all down to the cold weather. vomit

Thing is, i regularly have this problem, but on a much lesser scale. In the morning when i wake up, my mouth still stays all crappy but usually goes away after an hour or two, but in this cold weather its staying with me for the whole day.

I always look after my mouth and throat, i dont smoke and brush my teeth at least 2 times a day, sometimes more, and i try and get a bit of fruit and vegetables here and there.

Im not in pain or anything, it just feels and tastes st.

It seems like you are falling apart from the inside.

If I where you and this continues, keep said coughee bits in a container and take it to the docs , just for peace of mind really.

Rule of thumb here.....If what your coughing up is bright green then you have a chest infection of some sort. If its greeny brown then you have had an infection and its the bodies way of getting rid of it. Bright Green..get to your doctor and get checked out.
