No whoosh parrot intended or required, genuine question as it looked a little like Wiltshire. Looks like a great area for riding.

Just back from a nice 30 miles with 1950 feet of climbing this morning. First time out on the Trigon this year and it felt good.
Stopped for a quick picture, you can just about make out Glasgow in the distance

Hope Mountain near my home village in N Wales. Views back over Chester and the Peckforton Hills in the distance.

It just about qualifies as a mountain as it's just a bit higher than 1000 ft!

Yes, it's in the triangle formed by Chester, Mold and Wrexham.

Meadfoot?

I worked on a contract down there for 2 years and 'lived' in the Sommerville Hotel on the Babbacombe Road. I had a 6 mile circuit along Meadfoot and up millionaires row, along the coast and back that I used to walk each evening just to stop me sitting in the bar drinking each night! Fantastic in the summer but quite bleak (and a bit creepy) in the winter....

No so much a picture from the ride, but I have found what I think will become every cyclists favorite recovery drink;

It is indeed Meadfoot. Not often I go that way. My usual route home takes me up the Babbacombe Road past the Somerville.

From yesterdays 30km up and down the green corridor here in Singapore, not always easily passable unfortunately and the last 2kms or so to the north coast is just bulldozed land and not evidently used by anyone (except me yesterday)

Saw a 2ft monitor lizard and ran over a snake, only small and didn't have a chance to avoid it. Riding in Paris wasn't this interesting smile But saw no monkeys on the old Bukit Timah railway station like the week before.

Know that trail well although I always seem to end up punctured. More often to be found cycling along the West Coast Park or a East Coast up by Changi. Did you do the big OCBC road race last weekend - I was out of the country sadly.
Been lucky on the puncture front then, I've done about 400km on there in last 9wks and not had one yet (doomed), although more often to be found on Bukit Timah to the bottom section than the top.

Missed the OCBC event as was already subscribed up and only really got back on bike in last 3mths.

I use the PCN network a lot as well, part of West Coast but mainly Bukit Merah and north from there.

Wiped out by a taxi on Saturday has broken the frame on the commuter, so having get that welded means I'm using the new 29er i've built a lot more, which is no bad thing wink Finished the build the afternoon of the SMiDSY taxi incident.

We should get together for a ride once our PH jerseys arrive....
