Making my way slowly home. Stopped for the night near Munich. I hear there's a bike showroom in town. On to Koblenz tomorrow. They say there's a bike showroom there too. Talk about coincidences..

Will post on my CG thread when I'm back and on a proper 'puter. But I think we need to make it a PH team event next year smile
So you're coming home with a Canyon then wink
You going to the Rose biketown mate ?

CD: (Fortunately) They're sold out for this year in my size. But I can at least ride one and if next year's are the same geometry..

BCM: I thought I'd have a look round, yes smile. It'd be rude not to. Anything you need whilst I'm there?

From Sunday Morning's ride, looks staged - it wasn't. He did wait for the photo to be taken though!

This morning, from the top of Carlton Bank. Clay bank was a killer on the way up. Wonderfully quiet and few cars about.

Today Balmoral to The Lecht, and back. In Belgian conditions.
Hardest UK climb? Perhaps.
Nice place to pass 100,000m climbing so far this year though.

The top. No time to stop with more weather coming in.

Half way down.

This was from my last ride up Carlton Bank. I've only ever gone down Clay Bank. Have you done Chimney?

You need to go and find some roads to ride on - y'know, with actual tarmac and stuff.

They're not all that bad biggrin

It just so happens that the toughest climbs in the area tend to be on little used, back roads that haven't been resurfaced in years. Most of the ride today was on good surfaces, honest!

The 100 climbs quest goes on, not quite the view we were hoping for...

Boltby Bank is one to try as well. Worse than Carlton and Clay but easier than Chimney IMO.

Yesterday, at the Pearce Cycles uplift day at Bringewood. However wet you think it looks in the picture, double it! Was drift-tastic fun.

Two of my favourite roads, but definitely in the car, rather than on the bike!
