Few questnions about c4s cabrlolets

Do they all have white dials, or was this an option

Do they have carrera kick plates rather than carrera c4s or s?

Is the x51 a good option, will it cost more to run than a non x51 car?

Thanks

Mine was an 04 plate and did not have white dials ( black/black car ).

Make sure you get the PSE option - use the switch so you don't upset the neighbours smile

x51 rare and nice to have includes pse as standard too, performance does marginally improve but flexibility biggest difference, no big deal if it doesn't have it.

White dials an option, I now have on my 997 and prefer the black tbh.

Yes they all have C4S kick plate.

Thanks, so does a CARRERA kick plate on a C4s suggest its not a C4S?

C4S is easy to identify due to the red strip on the back. X51 and PSE are separate options (at least they are on my C4S)

If you can find X51, then grab it. I could only find C4S with PSE, not X51 (coupe), but would have jumped at X51. I have X51 on the C2, but that lacks PSE. Whilst I'd love to have both, I'd have X51 over PSE.

The kick plates are removal pieces of trim so on a 7-9 year old car I'd suggest they could have been changed at some point - also a C4S should be easy to identify from the Turbo body (and full width rear reflector) but you do get some people advertising "Tiptronic S" (which is merely a gearbox) cars as though they are Carrera 4 S when they're clearly not.

Did we get to the bottom of what kickplates the 996 range had as standard?

My C4S (2002, coupe) has kick plates which say C4S only.

Any C4 (non-S) owners? What do you have?

Carrera
or
Carrera 4
or
Other?
