OK, I'm pretty sure that I've got Bronchitis based on the symptoms, coughing a lot, bringing stuff up, occasionally feeling a bit tight in the chest, blocked nose and just generally feeling crap.

I'm going to guess that doing any cardio at all is not a great idea as it's unlikely to speed my recovery up, or should I just have a bash and see ho far I get?

Apart from the cardio though, I should be ok with just doing some resistance work yeah?

Well, I got bored so decided to carry out my own experiment to find out. Apparently the answer is that you can train, and you can even do cardio, but not very well.

Ended up sat on the treadmill after 2.5KM gulping Ventolin and at one point genuinely beginning to wonder if I may be about to have a problem loser Then I managed some basic chest presses on a machine (sit down, not lie down type) with a miniature coughing fit in between every set.

I may have achieved almost nothing but at least I don't feel guilty about not going now smile

I'm an advocate of total rest at the first sign of an illness. I'd rather my immune system was focused not trying to recover from exercise etc...

Works for me - firstly, I'm rarely ill but when I am, I dive under multiple duvets, clothed in my entire wardrobe and only eat tomato soup and toast. After a couple of days of sweating it out I'm as right as rain.

Huge big 'touch wood' going on while writing this hehe

How do you know it isn't down to the scent of your duvets?

I guess everyone is different - but I take this approach too.

Ill = rest. Otherwise it will take longer to fix.
