Thought Id post up a few pics of the gf's car, its no sports or exotic car, but some may like it smile
She had a Cooper S hatch and loved the looks, handling and fun factor, but did'nt like the economy and lack of room in the rear for the kids.
She had inherited a 307 HDI and loved the economy of it, but it was boring.

So the obvious answer was to sell both and get the Clubman which she originally wanted, but could'nt afford.

It seems to be a very marmite car, some love them, some hate them.
At first I hated them, but the more Ive driven this one, the more Ive come to really love them!
They are great fun, easy to drive and its got more lef room than my RS4 (thats not hard though as its terrible)

We originally saw a Hot Chocolate (brown) one when they first came out, and never saw another. Turns out they are very rare and never many for sale, so the hunt was on...
Eventually we found this one in very good condition with bi-xenons and the gorgeous retro looking brown Lounge Leather.
We've added H&R springs which has stiffened it up a little more and makes it sit nice and low like a Mini should smile
I might try to twist her arm for a remap, but its great fun as it is.

People laugh when you mention brown, but soon as they see it (especially in the sun) they instantly change their minds! The colour is stunning, and has a lovely copper look to it in certain lights

As it sits now with the H&R's fitted

My mother has one in black with the same wheels. It's quite good fun to drive, and the fact it averages 55mpg makes it even better. People complain about the single rear door thing, but I just see it as a normal 3 door hatchback with one side providing slightly better access.

The seats folding flat in the back was one of the selling points I think, makes it quite practical, she can fit the big Dobermann in the back!

Anyway, I prefer the colour of yours, looks good smile

I don't see what there is to complain about regarding the 3rd door, it makes access so easy. It's a shame it was'nt put on both sides really

Lovely alloy wheels and great colour thumbup

Would have been better with a different colour interior though imo (cream probably).

I love brown cars, thought it was just me, these in particular look great, and that Brown colour you sometimes see on new BMWs, oh and Merc have a very nice brown at the moment.
Either way lovely car OP and well done for putting it on H&Rs.
That interior is just perfect too.

I really like that. The brown interior has a retro feel to it, which suits the car IMHO.

What's the deal with the seatbelt in the interior shot - is the driver's seatbelt connected to the rear door as the pic seems to suggest, or has it just got caught somewhere? Does that mean you can't open the rear door unless the driver removes his/her seatbelt?

The seatbelt is correct in that photo, you have to open the drivers door to open the rear door anyway, so it would be rather awkward to try and do it if the driver was in the seat as you couldnt tilt it forwards.

The springs are progressive, so unless you corner hard the ride is very similar to standard, maybe slightly firmer

I think the runflats probably have a lot to do with it.

Not narrow minded, just it looks bloody awful, but the world would be a very boring place if we all liked the same things
