Hi,

I am looking at buying an Evora (obviously) , one of the reasons is the supple ride lotus is famed for. I currently have a Z4 35i, which whilst looking great is both a hard ride, and has very uncomfortable seat.

I live in Swansea, which means everywhere is 3 hours away, which is great when you have to head through Wales, but if the seats are uncomfortable becomes a nightmare.

So to you owners, how do you find the Evora for seat comfort and driving position, is a 3 hours drive exhilarating but painful, or can you go into a meeting at the end looking forward to the drive home.....

I would like to try one for a few hours, but I guess any dealer is probably not gonna let this happen..

Thanks

Kier

I’ve not really noticed the seat comfort, which is usually a sure sign that everything is fine!

Comfy as an old leather arm chair and adjustable anyway...Lotus are good at finding decent seats, from the wafer thin probax in the Elise to the Recaros in the Evora, have never ached whilst in either.

I drove 4 hours from Seattle to the Oregon Pacific Ocean coastline and back again in the same day, and felt fresh as a daisy when I got back. One of the Evora's highlights!

Quick edit:

The pedals aren't particularly centred though, which personally doesn't bother me. But if this is something that bothers you, then yeah, you might want to ask a dealer for an extended test drive.

They ride and handle properly, and on top of that the seats are fantastically comfortable. You soon get used to the pedal offset.

Probably the best seats I've sat in TBH. Superb on long journeys, and very supportive on track

Personally I find them great and better than the BMW's I have had, although I did find the Probax astonishingly comfortable in the Europa

8 hours with only fuel stops ..... jump out the other end - full of the joys of spring ( whatever that may be ! ). However I suspect you need to fit comfortably in the seat in the first place.....

Hi all
Thanks the feedback, and confirming how comfortable it is.

Running out of reasons not to buy now

Cheers

Hi Wayne - did you have a type 49 Elise a few years back? If so I had the yellow 111s, and now have a yellow Evora!

Very comfy! Took it with wifey to Lemans Classic this year, no probs

Did 500 miles in mine in 24 hours the other weekend and would echo the other comments about comfort.

Great cars!

Hi, No it wasn't me with the type 49, although I did have a 111S.

Now I am jealous though, owning an Evora, going to Lemans classic AND your wife will go in it!
