All,

Looking at going to Ischgl in late January, Start February.

Not looking at spending the £1,300 a week for flights and hotel which I have seen in passing.

Looking for recommendations from people who have been. Will be for a group of sub 30 year olds. Accommodation doesnt have to be world class but not wanting a dump either.

Also any other recommendations on what to and what not to do, would be helpful.

Cheers.

Austria is expensive for hotels and cheap for food/drink.

France is cheap for hotels and expensive for food/drink.

You'll spend half as much in spending money in Austria than you will in France, but you'll have to spend double on the basic holiday (apart from lift passes, which are about the same, Austria maybe slightly cheaper).

Ischgl one of the few places in Austria I've never skied I'm afraid, can't advise on a specific place, sorry!

Give skiing Austria a call http://www.skiingaustria.co.uk/

Found us some great accomodation options in St Anton & Ischgl last couple of years. Not options which appeared on any internet searches or their own site and both budget and better quality options.

I thought Mayrhofen a real pain....the queues for the main lift up in the morning were pretty awful and it was not much fun getting down either but at least by then I had had a few "quenchers"....but saying that I hope you have a grand time.
