What ever happened to that Ruf R40
Discussion
As it says on the tin really, what happened/is happening with- the Ruf built mid engined R40 beastie? did it get beyond the prototype stage?
It was in the press about a year ago & heard nothing of it since & the reports were that is was to be launched this summer. Did it get beyond the prototype stage?
Any of the Ruf regulars spot it lurking under a dust sheet in the corner when you were there

Hi alex
Well under construction, there were some pretty major changes implemented by mr ruf, for instance the change from aluminium body to carbon fibre.
The car will look really great it has elements from the porsche 906.
the engine has been on the dyno and the numbers are spectacular
No idea when it'll be released, when mr ruf deems it to be perfected
all the best

Ratbag Im not 'quite' that old yet! looks more like my dad
Adam- thought you might be the man who would know, best I cancel the Carrera GT & get my order in now then
Hmm wonder how on earth I could get the PH exclusive 1st journo drive then... I've driven a few Rufs & a 906 so surely im the logical choice overthose EVO mag swines , I could even save 'em a few quid on the crash tests procedures- just lend it to Dom for a badger bashing drive should prove its crash worthyness

Don't be silly Alex. I'm the obvious first choice, what with my years of Porsche driving experience...
Ahh but would it be as in depth & as extensive a test as your Aston Martin round the Golf club car park one
