If the battery is flat it will have gone into self protect mode and the reset button will be ineffective. If yourhandbook is locked in the boot this is what it says about jump starts.

Thanks very much - managed to read about jump point in FAQ thread T although mine is central not on left as described ) - still waiting for rescue service to jump start I cannot read manual on blackberry but I think it is just jump start process. Do I need to press restart button after jump start ?

I have never jump started my DB9, but I am sure a battery reset is not needed. After the jump start run the engine for 20 minutes then switch it off and restart it. I think this resets the electrics, although the windows might need recalibrating.

Many thanks -Green Flag turned up and jump started from the engine point which worked fine.
I am just trying to work out why it went flat in the first place -is it normal for the light switch to remain illuminated after the car is locked I wonder ?
