Recommend a Miami hotel for 1 night?

We're flying into Miami in march and are looking for a nice clean hotel for 2x adults and 2x kids (10 &12). Looking at the hotels in Miami beach you pay a premium for location but get a pretty low quality room. We're staying 1 night, do some sightseeing the next day before heading up to Orlando.

The wife likes the doral golf club but currently showing at 165/night - any other recommendations as most online reviews are negative

Always stay in the Epic hotel when in Miami on business - not sure if its in the right area for you but it's a good hotel.
