General Scalextric thread? Well, I'll ask in here, and if it fixes it, I'll post working pictures

I'm yet to dig it out but last time I set my TVR set up, one side of the track would not work.
I am going to put it together and buzz for continuity using a meter, but please can someone let me know if there are any other tests I could do?

I hadn't tried new brushes as both cars worked on the other rails but it's something to look into, I'll get the kit out tomorrow and have a look, thanks.

The a really good liquid to use to help conductivity. Inox - you get it from the states on eBay. I had appalling conductivity and a drop on each braid then tw stuttering laps and boom!!!

Had mine out back in December for the first time in years. Got an ancient 993 Turbo that is a right pig to drive, back end is all over the place, even in a slow speed corner

My Boxster 986 is the fastest and easiest to drive. Shame is that I just do not have the space in the house to keep it out. I have a load of Hornby gear in boxes as well.

Try mounting a layout on a table tennis table which can be folded through 90 degrees and wheeled away.

Here's a couple of my bits , no fancy digital stuff , mostly sportscars and GT's , mainly boxed up and hidden in the loft , but does get an airing a couple of times a year .

I can't get to my own collection of vintage cars, track and buildings at the moment, but this is my sons permanent layout that normally sits under his bed. His fleet are Lightning McQueen, Francesco Bernoulli and a custom Boris-the-Beemer.

Yes it is, it was the car I was testing conductivity with - had a few mishaps when it decided to not go then fly at full speed at the chimney breast, I mean back straight.
